Stela Suils Cuesta Shihab (She/her/ella/ela)
Founder and Consultant

Stela is a trained Psychologist at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a PhD candidate in Gender studies at the University of Lisbon. She lives and breathes Diversity and Inclusion.

In Dubai, she led international teams and travelled extensively around the world, which gave her first-hand experience on biases, stereotypes, and the importance of cultural intelligence. In 2016 she became the Regional Leader of Lean In Arabia, the NGO started by Sheryl Sandberg to support women of all backgrounds to achieve their full potential. In 2018 and 2019, she was invited to travel to Palo Alto to attend the Lean In Leaders Conference and met Sheryl Sandberg in person, who hosted the top world Lean In Leaders at her house. Stela is now based in Portugal and leads Lean In Portugal.

She co-facilitated a few Masterclasses at the Web Summit 2019 (and now getting ready for 2022), and Collision in 2020, as well as other international conferences.

Stela has been running D&I Programs and recruitment in the Middle East and now in Europe, where she also directs the D&I area on CollectiveUp, a social enterprise that does research to create methods and technologies to achieve the SDG Goals.

She works with clients such as the World Food Programme, Cloudflare, Valispace, Volkswagen Digital and ADQ, and consults on projects funded by the EU. In 2021, Stela was listed as “People to Follow on LinkedIn about Diversity and Inclusion” by Diversein.
